Take a Break and Relax with Butterflies

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Are you tired? Feel stressed out? How about tension in back of neck or head?

Why not take a break and relax for a couple of minutes.

There are a lot of variations of basic meditation. One of them suggests sitting for a couple of minutes doing nothing but being aware of our breathing. Just sit still for a moment inhaling slowly through your nose, then exhaling long through your mouth.

You can also use imagery meditation sitting quietly and picturing some place, thing, or activity that makes you feel calm.

When you daydream, watch a bird in flight, stare up at the clouds, enjoy the ocean or a beautiful flower, your mind is fixed on one thought and that is a form of meditation, one of the powerful relaxation techniques.

Study shows that meditation changes blood flow to the brain and decreases anxiety while it improves other mental functions.

Take a look at these beautiful pictures taken by my son’s girlfriend while visiting North America‘s largest enclosed butterfly conservatory at Niagara Falls. Aren’t  they amazing? Enjoy looking at the buttrflies as long as you feel like.  It will help you to relax and boost your immune system which is very important during cold and flu season. And don’t forget to

breathe, smile and be happy!

The Healing Power of Imagination — Open the Gateway to the Fulfillment of Dreams

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

My friend and colleague Melissa Zollo is my guest blogger today. Here is her article for you to enjoy.

Can you claim with complete certainty that within you is a powerful healing presence? Do you speak the words “I am healed in every way” every morning with inner conviction, remaining calm in the face of appearances and adversity, expecting new and wondrous results? Or do you mutter affirmations and then proceed to neutralize every positive idea you spoke once you read the morning paper, listen to the TV or have coffee with a friend trapped by gossip or greed?

Tortured by Content

One of the things that tortures most people, (no matter what they possess or how important they think they are), is the contents of their own mind. Torturous memories, images and feelings invade their mind from the time they start their day until they take a pill to fall asleep at night. A steady stream of endless fears and doubts dominates their focus, conversations and actions.  They do their best to avoid their fears but avoida

Center of Attraction

nce will not neutralize an error pattern or habit.

All Causation is Imaginal (mental)

  1. TheImaginal Dynamic explains how we can rise in consciousness into the ethericworld, create a mental blueprint, step into the world of thought and rebuild our beliefs and emotionalize ideas until we create a force field of energy around us that radiates out from us and attracts back to us people, things, and situations in harmony in the physical world.
  2. The Imaginal Dynamic, Power of Imagination and the creative/imaging process is very misunderstood by most people. I feel once understood it addresses the underlying problem behind manifestation and points out the truth of life that can help us solve our problems, overcome challenges, and fulfill our dreams.
  3. The Imaginal Dynamic helps us realize that there is only One Power, One Life-Principle, One Imagination and we are that Oneness. Call it the Living Spirit, God, Divine Imagination, or Consciousness, we could not change, move, shift or realign ourselves without the Consciousness of Infinite Intelligence within us.

Spirit Is indicates that the Master Architect, Originator and Source of the Universe is ultimate, infinite, imaginative, ever-present and complete, but the image, blueprint or plan of this Living Infinite Spirit is always unfolding in the workshop of imagination.

Harness the Power of Imagination

“The secret of imagining is the greatest of all problems to the solution of which the mystic aspires. Supreme power, supreme wisdom, supreme delight lie in the far-off solution of this mystery”, so writes Edward D. Faucett.

It is impossible for the sick person to find health, or a poor person to attract wealth, or the miserable person to find happiness, or a failure to become successful in the physical world no matter who he knows or what he does until he first images himself to be healthy, wealthy, happy, and successful. Results follow our mental impressions, they do not precede them. To constantly complain and focus on lack, unhappiness and limitation while remaining sick, poor and miserable in consciousness is to play the fool’s game. Changes will never take place from the level of consciousness of the problem and self-condemnation.

Nothing in life is condemned.

Everything is constantly being expressed and out-pictured by the creative use, misuse or abuse of imagination. It is important to realize that you unconsciously or unknowingly bring about the condition of limitation and lack. It is up to you to rise up to a higher level of awareness. Is it always an easy and comfortable process? I’d be lying to you if I said it is easy, but I will say it is the way to throw off the chains of wrong thinking. Doubts are stubborn. There are times when the habit of upheaval seems so powerful one feels shipwrecked on the shores of lack and limitation.

Cleanse More Than Just Your Body, Detoxify Your Mind With Yoga

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

After a stressful summer routine. the beautiful fall season is a perfect time to find balance in your lifestyle and your body, as well as to celebrate harmony and harvesting.  It is also the right time  think more than about your body, detoxify your mind.

1. Take care of the areas of stress in your life.

Because we, ladies, are full of emotions, stress illness may be on our the horizon. Fall is therefore a good time to rethink and take care of our relationship issues, career choices, physical activities levels, and spirituality.

The answer to the following questions may help you focus on what you need to do to eliminate some unnecessary stress:

Which area of your life (relationship, career, finances, physical activities, spirituality, education, health, social life, home environment) you think needs the most attention right now, and why is that?

Which area of your life do you think keeps you in balance? (try these quizzes )

Where do you think you need to spend more time and energy to create balance?

How satisfied are you in each area of your life is very important for our overall balance. To find it, we have to start listening to our bodies and paying attention to the areas we are dissatisfied the most.

2. Try a Yoga class or Tai Chi class.

Learning yoga poses will reduce your stress levels, boost your mood, and improve your overall health. Studies show that your level of the stress hormone cortisol is reduced when doing basic beginner yoga.  You can also get the benefits of yoga with chair yoga, desk yoga, wall yoga, office yoga, and work yoga.

Tai chi -moving meditation – consists of slow, focused, deliberate moves that awaken your chi and allows it to flow unblocked throughout your body, improving your healthy well-being.

3. Learn visualization-meditation.

There are meditation exercise techniques. One of them suggests sitting for a couple of minutes doing nothing but being aware of our breathing. Just sit still for a moment, inhale slowly through your nose, then exhale slowly through your mouth.

Walk to Save a Relationship

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

We know that taking a walk can be good for us.  It’s not only a safe way to exercise our heart, but can also reduce your stress illness.  You can use it for stress reducers to clear your mind of your frustrations.

Saving a Marriage Crisis with Stress Reducers

Image via Wikipedia

But did you know it can be used in saving a marriage … if you are smart enough to take a walk …. away from an argument.  If it is really  true, then why it is so difficult to do so?  When I was in my first marriage, my mother used to ask me to shut my  mouth … open the door … and close it behind me at the beginning of an argument or marriage crisis … before it got ugly.  Did I follow her piece of advice, at least once?  Hmmmm …  the good news for me is that  I’ve learned my lesson, even though it took me a couple of marriages to figure it out.

What about you?

Unfortunately, many women don’t know how to take advantage of their life’s lessons, no matter how old they are.  I have many clients who are very successful in their careers, but as for their private lives, they act as teenagers in their 30s, 40s and even in 60s!  And I always ask myself why that is ??!

natural face masks and beauty remedies

Image via Wikipedia

P.S. Did you know that walnuts, almonds, pears, apples can be used as natural stress reducers? A bowl of oatmeal with walnuts and raisins is one quickest and healthiest breakfasts you can have.

Almonds are rich in vitamin E, and we know they can be very good for our skin. But have you ever tried almond butter to exfoliate?

As for apples and pears, not only are they healthy snacks you can have any time of the day, they can also be used as natural face masks and beauty remedies.
