Try these quick and easy to make recipes with carrots, sweet potato and beets to deal with Sugar Cravings.
Carrots with Orange Zest
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons olive oil
3 cups grated carrots (6 medium-large)
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
2 tsp orange zest
Immunity Boosting Spices (optional)
Salt, pepper to taste
2 tbsp parsley, chopped to garnish
Directions:
Saute carrots, until tender, add ginger and cook for 3 min. Add the rest of the ingredients. Garnish with parsley.
Healthy Sweet Potato Fries – my favorite and the quickest recipe ever
Ingredients:
2 medium sweet potatoes or yams
2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Chop potatoes the way you would do for French fries. Saute in the olive oil until tender- for about 115 min (under the lid they will be ready even faster.
Beets and Carrots Saute
Ingredients:
3 large beets
3 large carrots,
1 large onion
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp tomato pasta or a small can tomato sauce
Directions:
Saute onions (chopped) and carrots (grated) for 5 min. Add beets (grated) and cook for 15 min. Add tomato sauce, stir thoroughly and cook for 2 min. Add salt if needed.
P.S. If you use tomato pasta, add 1 -2 tbsp water
